Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce loss probability by grouping periodic channels that information except the slowest call uses, counting in-use channels in the channel group at all times, and assigning the channels so that the number of unused channels is left. CONSTITUTION:The periodic channels that the information except the slowest call uses are put in the channel group and in-use channels in each channel group are counted at all times. When a fast call is generated, a fast channel group is scanned and assigned, and when an intermediate-shaped call is generated, an intermediate-speed channel group is assigned which is found first among fast channel groups whose in-use channel number is large among fast channel groups whose in-use channel number is smaller than (number of channels in fast channel)-(number of channels required for intermediate-speed channel). When the slowest call is generated, on the other hand, one free channel is assigned in the channel group whose in-use channel number is maximum among intermediate-speed channel groups whose in-use channel number is smaller than (number of channels in intermediate-speed channel group)-1 among fast-channel groups whose in-use channel number is large among fast-channel groups whose in-use channel number is smaller than (number of channels in fast channel group)-1. Consequently, the loss probability is reduced as much as possible to perform efficient multiplexing.
