Abstract
PURPOSE:To cope with a large current and reduce the alternate current loss by arranging a layer made of part of a superconductive element wire, a normal conductive metal layer, a layer made of the remaining superconductive element wire, and a normal conductive metal layer on the outside of a low-resistance layer at the center. CONSTITUTION:Superconductive element wires 2 doubly coated with a normal conductive metal (copper) 5 and a normal conductive metal (cupro-nickel) 6 are closely arranged on the inner periphery and the outer periphery outside a superconductive (Nb-Ti) filament 4, a normal conductive metal (cupro-nickel) 10 layer is provided at the intermediate section, a normal conductive metal 11 is arranged at the center, on the other hand a normal conductive metal (cupro-nickel) 9 is arranged on the outermost periphery. The electric connection between the superconductive element wires 2 is thereby cut off, the alternate current loss is reduced, and the alternate current loss can be further reduced by selecting the twist pitches of the superconductive element wire group on the inner periphery and the superconductive element wire group on the outer periphery to different values.
