Abstract

PURPOSE:To display the accurate answer position of a specific transponder on a radar screen by providing a receiver for a transponder signal successively and then knowing the answer position of the specific transponder from a difference frequency band at the same time. CONSTITUTION:The center frequency of an answer from a transponder equipment equipped with a frequency converter is shifted by a carrier FTX+f, and consequently modulation is imposed while the center frequency of (the same center frequency fRX+f as a reflected wave)=FRX' is assumed. Consequently, a receiver 40 for a transponder of additional constitution includes a balanced modulator 42 which receives pseudo noises N2 and FRX', a balanced modulator 44 which receives its output and the output of a receiver 20 and outputs a demodulated signal, a level measuring circuit 46, and an A/D converter 48. A memory control circuit 50 is connected to the circuit 46 to control the converter 48 and a memory device 30 also serving as image processor.
