Abstract

PURPOSE: To aim at the secureness of shadability from the back of a thin film electroluminescent panel and improvement in the extent working properties in a manufacturing process in a simple structure by using a black resin binder and a spacer at time of sealing the electroluminescent panel.
CONSTITUTION: Black resin 12 is applied onto a back glass plate 7 by means of screen printing, spray and brush coating or the like. This black resin 12 is most desirable to be applied by the screen printing before sticking a substrate 1 and the back glass plate 7 together with a binder from the viewpoint of working property and reliability. Next, an insulating protective fluid 8 is poured thereinto and, after temporarily sealing it, black adhering resin 14 is applied onto the black glass plate 7 or a flat glass cap 11, and as a spacer, for example, several glass beads 15 are fed to a sticking part of this flat glass cap 11, and this flat glass cap 11 is stuck thereto. With this constitution, shadability from the backside is secured and, what is more, improvement in the working property is well promoted.
