Abstract
PURPOSE:To readily carry out firm bonding of a metal to rubber in precise parts, such as float valve, by subjecting the metal to plasma treatment at a low temperature before coating an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a metal (e.g. nickel or aluminum) is optionally degreased and then subjected to plasma treatment at a low temperature. The above-mentioned surface of the metal is then coated with an adhesive and bonded to rubber. Furthermore, the plasma treatment is preferably carried out under condition of <=100Torr, 10<7>-10<13>Hz, 0.5-10kW output under low pressure of oxygen or air.
