Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a paper sheet feeding device in a small size by furnishing a motor rotatable both in the regular and reverse directions, and equipping a feed roller and an exhaust roller with a one-way clutch for transmission only in a single direction either regular or reverse. CONSTITUTION:Rotation of a stepping motor 26 rotatable both in the regular and reverse directions is transmitted to a feed roller 15 and exhaust roller 22 through gear trains 28, 29, respectively. These feeding and exhausting rollers 15, 22 are equipped with spring-loaded one-way clutches 30, 31 for transmission only in a single direction, and thereby the rotation is transmitted by the gear trains 28, 29. That is, the regular rotation of the stepping motor 26 is transmitted only to the feed roller 15, while the reverse direction to the exhaust roller 22 solely. Thus either feed 15 or exhaust 22 roller can be operated selectively with a single motor 26 which is rotated in either direction, that allows accomplishing the device in a small size.
