Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance and stability of shape by stitching a surface layer composed of thermoplastic synthetic fibers and a rear face layer having mesh 1.5 times or larger than that of the surface layer through needle punching then lining with emulsion compound. CONSTITUTION:A surface layer of fiber web 11 composed of thermoplastic synthetic fibers A such as polyester having melting point higher than 210 deg.C and a rear face layer of fiber web 12 composed of 20-50wt.% of thermoplastic synthetic fibers such as polypropylene having melting point lower than 180 deg.C and 50-70wt.% of polyester fibers having melting point higher than 210 deg.C and having mesh 1.5 times or larger than that of the fiber web 11 are stitched through needle punching to the rear face side of an interior member of vehicle 14 so as to constitute a nonwoven fabric. Then it is lined with emulsion compound 13 containing vinyl acetate copolymer component such that solid resin component will occupy 50wt.% or more of the rear face layer and formed into a desired shape. Consequently, abrasion resistance and shape stability are improved and pleasant touch can be achieved.
