CONSTITUTION:A subscriber group 4 at near areas in linearly accommodated through a concentration wire stage 3 in a distribution stage 1 of the exchange. A remote subscriber group 11 is accommodated in a remote concentration wire stage 8 and connected through a digital multiple circuit 9 to a distribution stage 1. An outgoing call signal and respective types of control signals from a controller 2 are directly transmitted and received through a concentration wire stage 3 to the near area subscriber group 4, on the other hand, to the remote concentration wire stage 8, transmitted and received through an interface device 5 by a digital circuit 10. For the transmission and reception of the signal to and from the remote concentration wire stage 8, a delay of 30 musec/10km occurs and the delay does not trouble practically. Thus, construction costs for the subscriber group 11 at remote areas are widely reduced.
