Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease power consumption while improving efficiency of oscillation, by providing heat dissipating fins on the outer wall of a cooler arranged so as to surround a gas circulating piping, for the purpose of cooling also the atmosphere within a housing. CONSTITUTION:A gas laser apparatus comprises an oscillator body having a laser tube 1 containing laser gas, a discharge electrode and a resonator, and an auxiliary equipment having, in a housing thereof, a laser gas circulating system for circulating laser gas while cooling the same by means of coolers 15, 16 arranged so as to surround a part of a gas circulating piping P for supplying the laser gas into the laser tube 1 and a power supply 4 for supplying power to the discharge electrode. Each of said coolers 15, 16 is provided with heat dissipating fins 13 on the outer wall thereof in order to cool also the atmosphere within the housing. Further, a laser gas circulating blower 7 may be provided in combination with a fan 14 and a duct 17 in order to accelerate convection of air cooled by the heat dissipating fins 13 on the outside of the coolers 15, 16.
