Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a thin size, improve thermal efficiency and prevent deterioration due to a temperature rise by using a material with an oxide or ceramic layer formed on both sides of a metallic foil or plate as an electric insulation layer. CONSTITUTION:A sheet heater comprises a bonded layer 2, an exothermic element 3 and an aluminum sheet 4 having oxide films 4a and 4b. One side of the aluminum sheet 4 is connected to a heated substance 10 via a bonded layer 9. The generated heat of the exothermic element 3 is transferred to the heated substance 10 via the aluminum sheet 4 and overheat, if any, at the bonded layer 9 due to an air bubble, control and the like is transferred thermally to other areas through the aluminum sheet 4, thereby eliminating an occurrence of local abnormal temperature.
