PURPOSE:To prevent a crack from being generated between magnetic core half bodies and to improve a yield, by forming a glass film with high m.p. on one side of a gap spacer at the front gap part of a magnetic core chip. CONSTITUTION:Since the glass films 26 and 27 with high m.p. are formed at least on one side of the side plane of the gap spacer 22, the gap spacer 22 is joined with at least either on one side of the magnetic core half bodies 20 and 21 via the glass films 26 and 27 with high m.p. Therefore, both the strength of at least one side plane of the gap spacer 22 and that of at least either the gap forming planes 20A and 21A in the magnetic core half bodies 20 and 21 are increased, and also, the joint strength between the gap spacer 22 and at least either the magnetic core half bodies 20 and 21 are increased. In such a way, it is possible to prevent the crack from being generated between the core half bodies 20 and 21.
