Abstract
PURPOSE: To disassemble/reassemble a large bore swivel joint and carry out tests for pressure withstand torque and rotational torque safely and easily by providing a height adjustable roller support for holding a rotating ring horizontally in the swivel joint. CONSTITUTION: A winch 20 is started to wind a wire cable 22, and a rotating ring 62 is rotated normally and reversely through a large pulley 15 to attach/ detach a ball, thus disassembling/reassembling a large bore swivel joint. Torque applied at the time of winding the wire cable 22 is detected by a torque meter 29 connected to a hydraulic cylinder 19. At the time of this disassembling/ reassembling, a lower roller support 6 holds the rotating ring 62 horizontally, and its recessed groove is adjusted to a recessed groove of a fixed ring 61 over the whole periphery. At the same time, an upper roller support 4 presses a seal packing 66 to the rotating ring 62 through a pressure ring 14 so as to impede the lift of the rotating ring 62.
