Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a developing bias voltage from impressed on a photosensitive drum before impressing a voltage for electrification even if a fault occurs by making the output voltage from a power source for electrification transmitted to a developing bias impressing means by means of a delay switching device.
CONSTITUTION: When a switch S3 is turned on, gate circuits G1 and G4 are opened and G2 and G3 are closed. Then, a relay 3 directly turns on and a relay 5 turns on after a time set in a delay circuit T2 passes. Next, when the switch S3 is switched off, the circuits G1 and G4 are closed and the G2 and G3 are opened. And the relay 3 turns off after the time set in the delay circuit T1 and the relay 5 directly turns off. Namely, if the switch S3 is turned on after turning off, a high voltage is impressed on an electrifier 9 for developing bias, prescribed time after the high voltage is impressed on an electrifier 8. Even if the relay 5 turns on as soon as the switch S3 is turned off since the fault occurs in an action sequence control circuit 6, the high voltage is not impressed on the electrifier 9 if the high voltage is not impressed on the electrifier 8 since the relay 3 is turned on.
