Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an encapsulated toner good in powder characteristics and fluidity by attaching or adding fine inorganic particles surface-treated with a specified coupling agent to the surface of each toner particle. CONSTITUTION:The fine inorganic particles surface-treated with the neoalkoxylic type coupling agent, such as neoalkoxytitanate or neoalkoxydizirconate type coupling agent, are attached or added to the surface of each toner particle, thus permitting the obtained encapsulated toner to be good in powder characteristics, to almost prevent secondary agglomeration even after storage under environmental conditions, such as high temperature or high humidity, and to be good in fluidity.
