Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously form the subject sheet with a high content of an inorganic powder having an extremely uniform formation by feeding a flocculated slurry onto a papermaking wire upwardly tilted at a specific angle and forming the sheet. CONSTITUTION: (C) A flocculent is added to an unflocculated dispersion slurry prepared by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of an inorganic powder with (B) about 0.1-15 pts.wt. of cellulosic fibers to form flocculated flocs. The resultant flocculated slurry is then fed onto a papermaking wire upwardly tilted at about 15-45 deg. angle and formed into a sheet to produce the objective sheet. Furthermore, a place for adding the component C is preferably in the course of flow and feed of the unflocculated dispersion slurry onto the papermaking wire.
