Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the pollution of air and to enable the smoking of a food in domestic kitchen, by applying electrical charge of high positive potential to smoke exhausted from a smoking chamber and attracting the charged smoke to a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:A seasoned and dried smoking material is placed on net shelves 6, 7 and a chip pan 5 holding a smoke-generation material is heated by electrifying a heater 4 under the tip pan 5. The smoking chamber 2 is filled with smoke generated from the smoke-generation material and the smoke is adsorbed and impregnated into the food to be smoked. The generated smoke is introduced through smoke-exhaustion holes 2c, 2d into a smoke-collection chamber 9. The fine particles of the smoke is charged to high positive potential with discharge electrodes 11, 12 imposed with positive DC voltage, the charged particles are attracted to negatively charged smoke-collection electrodes 16, 17, 18 and cleaned air is exhausted through a smoke-exhaustion hole 1c of the box. After the completion of smoking, the cassette smoke-collector 13 is pulled out of the box with a handle 14 and the fine smoke particles deposited on the electrodes 16, 17, 18 are removed.
