Abstract
PURPOSE: To employ an NATM for a soft rock, a crush zone or other similar geological features by boring a number of peripheral holes along a set surface for the formation of a cavity to carry out a center cut and a side blasting without loading a powder into peripheral holes. CONSTITUTION: A center cut hole A and a side hole B are bored parallel with the direction of excavation while a number of peripheral holes D are bored along the set surface C for the formation of a cavity. The center cut hole A and the side hole B are loaded with a powder and with the peripheral holes D left vacant, a blasting is carried out in the order of the center cut hole A and the side hole B. Since an impact wave by the blasting is received by the vacant parts of the peripheral holes D while the impact energy thereof runs to adjacent holes mechanically weak, a cracking is caused between the adjacent holes D, which enables prevention of adverse effect on a mine. The surrounding area is taken off by a giant breaker along the cracking of the peripheral holes D and a primary shotcrete is applied early to inhibit early slackening of the mine and then, a rock bolt is struck in thereby stabilizing the mine.
