Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify an apparatus, by connecting a flow rate control valve which is controlled by a detecting means to a oxygen-enriched air outlet port of an oxygen-enriched membrane module and providing a water-cooled plate in either end of a casing through said valve, on the outside of which a vacuum pump being provided. CONSTITUTION:Air sucked by an air feed means 14 is sent to an oxygen- enriched membrane module 9, from which the oxygen-enriched air is drawn through a connecting pipe 12 and a flow rate control valve 15 by a vacuum pump 20. The vacuum pump 20 is a high-temperature type vacuum pump in which a water-cooled plate is provided on either open end of its casing and a side frame portion to cool its rotor shaft is provided outside said water-cooled plate in such a manner that said side frame portion encircles the end of the shaft. The open end of the vacuum pump 20 is connected to an oxygen concentration detecting element 17 and a flow detecting element 18 through a silencer 46 so that detected values thereof are sent to a control means 19 to regulate the degree of opening of the flow rate control valve 15.
