Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a separation membrane which is high in strength and excellent in permeability and selectivity by allowing polysiloxane compd. having a plurality of amino groups to react with a polymer contg. isocyanate group having a specified recurring unit on a porous supporting material. CONSTITUTION:A soln. obtained by dissolving polysiloxane compd. having not less than two amino groups into a solvent such as ethylene glycol is applied on a porous supporting material such as polyamide. Then a soln. obtained by dissolving a polymer contg. isocyanate group mainly consisting of a recurring unit shown in a formula I into a solvent, e.g. a benzene soln. of poly(p- isocyanate), is applied thereon and brought into contact therewith to perform interface reaction and permselective membrane is formed on the supporting material. This separation membrane obtained in such a way can be used for e.g. concentration of oxygen from air, separation of various gaseous mixture or pervaporation.
