Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a separation membrane which is high in strength and excellent in permeability and selectivity by allowing polysiloxane compd. having a plurality of amino groups to react with isocyanate compd. shown in a specified formula on a porous supporting material. CONSTITUTION:A soln. obtained by dissolving polysiloxane compd. having not less than two amino groups into a solvent such as ethylene glycol is applied on a porous supporting material such as a flat film-like porous polysulfone membrane lined with polyester fabric. Then a soln. of isocyanate compd. shown in a formula I e.g. a hexadecene soln. of tris(4-isocyanate phenyl) methyl is applied thereon and brought into contact therewith to perform interface reaction and a permselective membrane is formed on the supporting material. This separation membrane obtained in such a way can be used for e.g. concentration of oxygen from air, separation of various gaseous mixtures or pervaporation.
