Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a system excellent in economization and reliability without the increase in the quantity of hardware and delay of signal attended with the number of optical loops and nodes by connecting a node to an optical loop via an optical matrix. CONSTITUTION:A control section 39 of a node 130 having a communication request starts the analysis of information received by optical receivers 32, 33 from an optical loop 11 via an optical matrix switch 120 and also sends transmission information to an optical loop 110 selected through the changeover control of the switch 120 in advance from an optical transmitter 31. When the transmission is enabled as the result of analysis, the transmission is continued and when disabled, the transmission is stopped and the procedure is repeated till the transmission enable. The information sent to the loop 110 is sent to the loop 110 while the transmission delay on the loop 110 is taken as an integral multiple of the master frame at a master module 14. That is, the information is restored to the switch 120 while being normalized to the period of the master frame. While the transmission information is returned to the node 130, the communication is attained with the node in the information address.
