Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the communication only for a complete space propagation line with a simple repeater by using an optical pulse signal with different pulse frequency in response to a binary signal value so as to apply transmission and allowing the repeater to send an optical pulse signal in the same form as that of the received signal. CONSTITUTION:Devices 31-3n including a host computer are arranged in one and same room and they connect respectively to optical signal transmission/ reception adaptors 61-6n. The adaptors 61-6n have respectively a transmission circuit provided with a light emitting element 7 and a reception circuit provided with a light receiving element 8. The ceiling 1 is provided with a repeater 2 and with the light emitting/receiving elements for transmitting/receiving an optical signal. The transmission circuit converts a binary signal from a device into an electric pulse signal whose frequency varies differently in response to the signal, converts it further into an optical pulse signal and radiates it externally. The repeater 2 sends immediately the received optical signal without varying the signal form. Thus, the n:n communication able to be sent among the devices is attained.
