PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image by applying compression and friction forces between secondary base particles and fine particles composed mainly of an electric charge controller to partially embed the fine particles into the surface of each secondary base particle so as to give disclosed parts to the fine particles. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic toner capable of forming a sharp image superior in resolution is obtained by covering the surface of each spherical primary base particle 11 or amorphous one 12 with prescribed proportion of carbon black particles 21, applying strong compression and friction forces to the obtained mixture under conditions of not crushing both particles, and then fast attaching the fine particles 22 composed mainly of the charge controller to the surface of each secondary base particle 31, 32 obtained by embedding the carbon black particles 21 into the surface of primary particle 11, thus permitting a sharp image superior in resolution to be obtained.
