Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance conversion efficiency by using a CdS-CdTe mixed film instead of the CdTe sintered film of a CdS-CdTe solar cell. CONSTITUTION:36g of propylene glycol is added to cadmium chloride of 100g of CdS, and mixed to prepare CdS paste. The paste is printed, dried and baked on borosilicate glass to form a CdS sintered film. Then, paste formed of CdTe, CdS, 0.5% of CdCl2, and 35% of propylene glycol is printed, dried and baked except part on the CdS sintered film to form a CdS-CdTe mixed crystal sintered film. Carbon paste containing 100ppm of copper is printed, and dried thereon, heat treated in nitrogen containing small amount of oxygen to attach a carbon film which becomes an electrode at the time of the CdS-CdTe mixed crystal film side. Silver-indium paste is formed as the electrode of the CdS sintered film as a negative electrode.
