PURPOSE:To prevent a large variation in torque accompanying speed change by regulating a generated torque in the direction of reducing the variation in torque given to a driving wheel before and after speed change prior to the regulation of the generated torque by means of slip control, during the speed change. CONSTITUTION:When the slip condition of a driving wheel B to a road surface is detected by a slip detecting means A, a slip control means F controls a generated torque regulating means E and regulates a generated torque in a power source D to get rid of the slip condition. On the other hand, during the speed change of an automatic transmission C, a generated torque correcting means G controls the torque regulating means E prior to the slip control means F to regulate the magnitude of the generated torque in the power source D in the direction of reducing the variation in torque given to the driving wheel B before and after the speed change. Thereby, a large variation in torque given to the driving wheel B before and after speed change can be prevented, always enabling the optimum slip control.
