Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a car body from its side slip while ensuring accurate drive propulsive force by a traction control by providing a car body side slip speed-detecting means to be built in a traction control unit and relatively decreasing the final slip target value when the side slip is in a large speed. CONSTITUTION:A slip in a wheel is detected being based on wheel rotary speed sensors 64-66, and a traction control is performed by controlling a hydraulic pressure control valve 31 in a brake pipe line to be actuated applying brake force or by controlling an actuator 14 of a throttle valve 13 to be actuated increasing grip force of the drive wheel to its road surface due to a decrease of an engine output. Here detecting a side slip in a car body by a car body side slip speed sensor 71, the final slip target value in the traction control is relatively decreased when the side slip is in a large speed. The car body is effectively prevented from its side slip while ensuring adequate drive propulsive force by the traction control.
