Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the use of a gear pump and the like, by a method wherein, in a fuel feed device for an internal combustion engine mounted vehicle, a pressurizing chamber, provided in a delivery port with an orifice and a pressure regulating device, is disposed on the delivery side of a fuel pump coupled to a blower motor. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary shaft 23 is rotated by a motor and a gear pump 4 is actuated, fuel is fed, as shown by an arrow mark C, to a feed passage 36 with the air of a pair of gears 15 and 16, and is introduced to a pressurizing chamber 28. The fuel is delivered in specified quantities to a burner through a delivery port 35 by means of an orifice 29. In this case, when a pressure in the pressurizing chamber 28 exceeds a specified value, a relief valve serving as a pressure-regulating device 30 is opened to relieve fuel. Thus, even when the number of revolutions of the gear pump coupled to a blower motor is increased and a fuel delivery pressure is increased, a pressure in the pressure chamber can be held at a specified value. This constitution enables the use of the gear pump.
