Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the bending stress at the time when a wire electrode passes through a DD guide (diamond die) by tilting the first and second holders in parallel through a link mechanism and allowing the both holders to be always opposed on the axis line of the wire electrode. CONSTITUTION:When a block 44 is shifted in the U-direction by a U-axis table 5, and a wire electrode 10 is tilted, a vertical main link 34 is revolved around a pin 35 by an upper link 46, and also the upper and lower holders 41 and 26 are tilted through the links 47 and 27. Since the distance on the vertical line from the straight line connecting the pins 42 and 44 of a DD guide, the upper and lower holders 41 and 26 are opposed on the axis line of the wire electrode 10, independently of the tilt angle, and the gap between a workpiece 80 and a cap 75 is kept constant, and also the hydraulic pressure in the working part can be kept. The tilt in the V-direction is carried out by revolving a lowew arm through a small gear 18 and a large gear 17 by a driving motor 19 and tilting a vertical arm 16. Thus, the bending stress of the wire electrode can be reduced.
