PURPOSE:To enable an element generating vertical oscillation and torsional oscillation and to be easily manufactured, by forming a ring-formed piezoelectric element with the piezoelectric element split pieces of a thickness mode and the piezoelectric element split pieces of a shear mode, and by placing the piezoe lectric element between metallic blocks. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric element split pieces 2 of a thickness mode and the piezoelectric element split pieces 3 of a shear mode are mixed with each other within the same plane and are aligned to form a ring-formed piezoe lectric element 1. The polarization directions of the piezoelectric element split pieces 2, 3 are respectively counter-arranged so that two pieces of the piezoelec tric element 1 may be electrically arranged in parallel with each other, and lead terminals 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b are applied on the respective surfaces and are placed between a first and a second metallic blocks 16, 17, and are fastened with a bolt 18 and a nut 19 formed integrally with the first metallic block 16, to form a bolt-fastened oscillator.
