Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve driving efficiency, by a method wherein respective first electrodes of the piezo-electric bodies at both sides of a feedback electrode are provided with the same polarity each other. CONSTITUTION:An annular earth electrode 2 is attached to the axial end face of an annular elastic body 1 and annular piezo-electric bodies 3 are provided around the other surface of the earth electrode 2, further, electrode 4, having (+) pole or (-) pole, are arranged alternately and continuously around the other surface of the piezo-electric body 3. The piezo-electric body 3 is divided into two semi-circular sets with intervals between them at the boundaries thereof and 4 pairs of the electrodes 4, consisting of a pair of (+) and (-) poles, are provided in respective divisions while high-frequency voltage source 5 is connected thereto. A moving piece 7, welded by pressure to the elastic body 1, is rotated. A feedback electrode 8 is arranged on the piezo-electric body 3 and is connected to an input control circuit 12 to control the high-frequency voltage source 5. According to the this constitution, the piezo-electric bodies 3 in the part of the feedback electrode will never receive different vibrations from the part of the piezo-electric bodies at both thereof whereby the amplitude of a traveling-wave may be detected correctly.
