Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the communication time by sending/receiving a picture signal without voice response when a device at the reception side detects a call signal, sends a called station identification signal and detects a transmission station identification signal from the sender side. CONSTITUTION:A call signal detection section 1 detects a call signal from a telephone line 11 to output the 1st control signal 1a. A reply signal generating section 2 uses the 1st control signal 1a to send a called station identification signal to the line 11 and sends the voice reply signal to the line when the 2nd control signal 3a is not received within a preset time. An identification signal detection section 3 detects a called station identification signal coming from the line 11 after making a call to output the 2nd control signal 3a. A communication control section 4 uses the 2nd control signal 3a to send a transmission station identification signal and then sends the picture signal from a transmission section 5 according to the transmission control procedure of facsimile equipment. Thus, when a call is received from the equipment sending automatically, the reply signal in voice is not sent to apply facsimile communication.
