Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the connection between a key telephone set and an external connection equipment 3 with a simple constitution by transmitting/receiving a transmission signal, a reception signal and an incoming signal, etc., required for the connection of the external connection equipment through a 4-cored cable for handset connection between the key telephone set and the external connection equipment. CONSTITUTION:The key telephone set 1 and the external connection equipment 3 are connected by the 4-cored cable constituting transmission lines 5, 7, 9, 11. The lines 5, 7 are used for transmitting a transmission signal and a reception signal. An incoming off-hook detection circuit 15 detects an incoming off-hook signal sent from the external connection equipment 3 via the line 5 and gives it to a CPU 21. An outgoing off-hook signal supply circuit 19 sends the outgoing off-hook signal to the external connection equipment 3 via the line 7 in response to the command of the CPU 21. An incoming signal sending circuit 27, in response to the command of the CPU 21, send the incoming signal to the equipment 3 via the line 9. A transformer 23 is connected to the master equipment via a voice signal transmission line 35. A transformer 25 is connected to the master equipment via a data transmission line 37.
