Abstract

PURPOSE: To less the generation of noise and the reflection of external light by adhering an elastic material to the front surface of a panel, adhering a transparent plate thereon and adding an antireflection function to this transparent plate. CONSTITUTION: The EL panel is constituted by forming light emitting thin films between matrix-form electrodes on a glass substrate. The elastic material 4 is adhered to the peripheral edge of the panel 1 and the transparent plate 5 is adhered to the elastic material 4. The surface of the transparent plate 5 is subjected to a non-glare treatment to have the antireflection function. Consequently, the noise is made lower by about 1/2 than the noise of the conventional panels in a range up to 20kHz and the reflection of the external light is suppressed.
