Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep the healthiness of an in-pile structure by uniformizing the temp. distribution of a cooling material and preventing the generation of wave and further reducing scattering, by providing a barrier plate, a distributing plate and an air bubble dispersing plate to an air bubble pump. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of air bubble pumps 8, each of which is constituted by arranging a stirring gas piping 11 having an opening end at the lower end part of a cylindrical body 8a having openings 9a, 9b at both upper and lower ends thereof is arranged to the center part of the cylindrical body 8a, are arranged to the inner peripheral part of a reactor container. A circular dome-shaped barrier plate 13 is provided in opposed relation to the upper end opening 9b of the cylindrical body 8a so as to provide an interval therefrom. By this constitution, since the temp. distribution of liquid metal sodium is uniformized and the generation of a wave on the free liquid surface of a cooling material and the scattering of the cooling material can be reduced, the healthiness of an in-pile structure can be kept.
