Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of image quality, by storing the image data of one field in a field memory with respect to an animation image while storing the image data obtained by performing offset sub-sampling between fields in the field memory with respect to a stationary image. CONSTITUTION:An input image signal is converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter 1 to be stored in a field memory 2 and the image signal is sent to a printing control part 6 through a control part 5 to be printed out. The image signal read from the field memory 2 is converted to an analogue signal by a D/A converter 3 to be monitored out. An animation/stationary image discriminating means 4 inputs the signal read from the field memory 2 and the output signal from the A/D converter 1 to discriminate an animation image or a stationary image and sends the discrimination signal showing the animation or stationary image to the control part 5 and sends a memory mode controlling memory operation to the field memory 2. Therefore, no unevenness is generated in the oblique lines in the printed-out image and image quality is not deteriorated.
