Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent adherence of dust and the like due to static electricity, by forming a conductive tubular layer whose main components are polyimide and a conductive substance at least on one face of a polyimide tubular layer.
CONSTITUTION: In this multi-layered tubular body, conductive tubular layers are formed on one face or both faces of a PI (polyimide) tubular layer. In case of forming the conductive layer on one face of the PI layer, the layer ca be formed either on the inner circumferential face or on the outer circumferential face. This conductive layer contains PI and a conductive substance as the main component and is a tubular layer whose volume resistivity is 1010Ω or less preferably below 108Ω. As the conductive substance, carbon, graphite, copper, silver, tin, antimony and the like can be used and they are preferably powder, whisker, flake, etc. Moreover, if desired, additives such as coloring agents, fillers can be therein added. The outer circumferential length and the total thickness (the sum of the thickness of the PI tubular layer and the thickness of the conductive tubular layer) can be adequately set in accordance with the use of the belt and usually about 50W1500mm and about 15W150μm respectively.
