Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The first layer side is subjected to the multiple electrode one- layer submerged arc welding. Next, while carrying out the forced cooling on the weld metal and heat-affected zone at the first layer side and the vicinity thereof by the underwater immersion or a jet of water, the final layer side is welded by the multiple electrode one-layer submerged arc welding. By this method, the efficiency of the welding work is increased and the high weld quality is stabilized.
