Abstract
PURPOSE: To press a sheet metal parts in one process by setting a sheet metal blank to a forming tool, increasing the pressure step-by-step, and repeating the after-flow of the blank into a recess of the forming tool while cutting the blank. CONSTITUTION: A sheet metal blank 10 is set to a forming tool 1, an edge part indicated by the arrow A of the sheet metal blank 10 is cut in the first stage to form a formed blank 10. The pressure P on the sheet metal blank 10 is increased, and after-flow is achieved into a recess of the forming tool 1. In the next stage, the formed blank is semi-cut at a deeper position indicated by the arrow B of the forming tool 1. The forming blank 10 is further after- flowed in the recess and an undercut part, and the pressure P is increased to the final stage. A work is finally formed, drilled and seamed.
