Abstract
PURPOSE:To uniformly and efficiently stick antistatic agent by electrostatic attractive force on the surface of a complicated-shape of an electrostatic charge member by providing an electric discharge machine to charge the electrostatic charge member electrostatically in contrast with the ion polarity of antistatic agent atomized by an atomizer. CONSTITUTION:A fan 32 of the atomizer 2 is rotated by a motor 33 and the antistatic agent 37 in a storage tank 30 is boosted by a pump 39 through a tube 38 and atomized from a nozzle 36. The fine powders of antistatic agent 37 ionized by this atomizing pass through a gas-water separator 41 with air flow and the antistatic agent 37 of small powder diameter is supplied from a fine powder supply hole 42 through a duct 24 into a painting chamber 4. Then, the fine powder of the ionized antistatic agent 37 floating in the painting chamber 4 are attracted electrostatically to the surface of the charged member 6 which is charged by a couple of discharge electrodes 1, upper and lower 1 in the inverse polarity to the ion polarity of these fine powders and the surface of the charged member 6 having a complicated shape is uniformly coated.
