Abstract
PURPOSE:To control combustion condition stably to reduce the generating amount of NOx and unburnt gas and prevent the damage of a furnace wall due to a local high temperature, by a method wherein a combustion regulating body, dividing a combustion space into upper and lower divisions, is attached to the inside of the combustion space for burning waste so that the position of the combustion regulating body in up-and-down direction can be changed. CONSTITUTION:A combustion regulating body 6 is hung by a rod 7 from the ceiling of a furnace body 1 so that the position of the combustion regulating body 6 in up-and-down direction can be changed in combustion space 5 by elevating or descending the rod 7. When the combustion regulating body 6 is sot at a position slightly lower than a part whereat a local high temperature is readily generated, the heat of combustion gas is absorbed by the combustion regulating body 6 and the combustion gas is cooled while the heated combustion regulating body 6 emits radiation heat into the combustion space 5 whereby the whole of the inside of a furnace is heated uniformly. As a result, the low temperature part generated by the shortage of energy in the combustion space 5, is heated and the temperature thereof rises while a local high temperature area, due to excess of energy, is cooled whereby a temperature distribution in the furnace may be made uniform.On the other hand, the combustion space 5 can be divided into a plurality of upper and lower divisions by the combustion regulating body 6, therefore, combustion control for respective divisions may be effected easily.
