The applicant had previously proposed a rectangular pillar-shaped ladder that is completely square bar-shaped when not in use and has no externally exposed parts as a folding ladder that is convenient for transportation and storage. This prevents sideways movement and further improves stability. In the folding ladder of the previous application, in order to support the connecting metal fittings fixed to the lowest rung of the connecting rod, the connecting metal fittings connecting the stays that are pivotally connected to the lower left and right pillars of the ladder,
This prevents the connecting rod from falling. However, since the connecting metal fittings for the stay can be slid up and down along the connecting rod on the stay storage, it is not fixed to the connecting rod, and there is some play between them, which causes the ladder to move slightly from side to side. There were flaws. The present application solves this problem, and the details of the embodiment will be explained below. FIG. 1 is a front view when in use, FIG. 2A is a front view when folded, and FIG. 2B is a side view. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a pair of left and right support columns, which are made of aluminum alloy and have a U-shaped cross section, and have U-shaped openings facing each other. Figure 3A is a plan view of the connecting fitting 6, Figure 3B is a front view,
Figure A is a front view of the left step, Step 2 is symmetrical, and Figure B is a plan view of the end. The contact surfaces 2a of the pair of left and right steps are the first contact surfaces 2a when in use.
As shown in the figure, they are in close contact with each other and do not fall downward. Figure 5 is an enlarged view of the main parts when using the improved ladder of the present invention, which includes strut 1, step 2, and stay 3.
FIG. 4 is a front view showing the relationship between the connecting rod 4 and the connecting fitting 6. FIG. As shown in FIG. 4, the step 2 has a cross-sectional shape substantially similar to that of the support 1, and is slightly smaller in size, so that it can be housed inscribed within the U-shaped opening of the support 1. The example is a pair of steps 2 of 6 steps.
One end of each step is inscribed in the pillar 1 and rotatably attached to the pillar 1 with a semi-tubular rivet 5, and the other end is connected to the pillar 1 through a connecting fitting 6 shown in FIG. 3, which will be described later. and is pivotally connected to the connecting rod 4. The connecting rod 4 is rod-shaped with a circular cross section, and its outer diameter is such that it can be stored in the U-shaped opening of the step 2.
Connecting fittings 6 are fixed horizontally at six positions in the vertical direction at equal pitches, and the left and right steps 2 are respectively pivotally supported by the connecting rods via the connecting fittings. Next, details of the connecting fitting 6 will be explained with reference to FIG. 3. 6a shows that the connecting rod 4 is connected to the connecting fitting 6.
6c is a through hole for fixing the connecting metal fitting 6 and the connecting rod with a rivet, and 6d is just an escape hole for the rivet head. 6b is a shaft hole for pivotally supporting the ends of the pair of left and right steps 2. Briefly explaining FIG. 4, 2a is a surface where a pair of left and right steps come into contact with each other, 2b and 2E are reliefs when folded, 2c is a relief for the connecting rod, and 2d is pivotally supported by the connecting metal fitting 6. This is a hole for.

The left and right steps 2, 2 in this embodiment have six steps, and the end surfaces 2a, 2a of each step are in contact with each other during use, so that they do not fall downward. No matter which step is loaded, all six steps are connected by connecting rods, so each step can withstand a load that is approximately six times its carrying capacity. I can do it. However, for ease of use, a pair of stays 3 are installed in order to withstand the load in the direction of gravity, as well as to prevent the ladder from rolling and improve stability.
The upper end of the bracket is pivotally attached to the lowermost connecting metal fitting.

Next, improvements in the present invention will be explained with reference to FIG. FIG. 6 is a sectional view taken in the direction of the arrows in FIG. 5. 7 is a sliding guide whose cross section is a U-shaped groove similar to that of the pillar 1, and the groove bottom of the pillar 1 and the groove bottom of the sliding guide are fixed at three locations with rivets 5. The front wall 7a of the sliding guide 7 when viewed from the front
A slit 8 is opened in the vertical direction in the rear wall 7b. One end 3a of the stay 3 is connected to the guide 7.
It is possible to slide vertically within the slit 8 by means of a pin 9 which is clamped by and attached to the end portion 3a. When using the ladder, the left and right stays open,
The guide 7 is attached to the column 1 so that the pin 9 is at the lowest position of the slit 8 when the left and right steps 2, 2 are supported horizontally. The other end 3b of the stay 7 is connected to the connecting metal fitting 6 fixed to the lowest stage of the connecting rod 4, with the stay 3a on the inside and the step 2 on the outside.
It is pivotally supported by a pin that passes through the shaft hole 6b of the connecting fitting 6 using a previously opened through hole. Note that FIG. 7A is a perspective view of the stay 3, and FIG.
With the above configuration, when the ladder is used, that is, when the stay 3 is opened, the stay 3 and the step 2 are directly supported by the connecting metal fitting 6, and the connecting rod 4 is supported via the connecting metal fitting 6.
This will prevent the ladder from rolling. Also, when not in use, by lightly lifting the connecting rod 4, the step 2 will rotate in the direction of the arrow, the upper end 3b of the stay 7 will rotate accordingly, and the lower end 3b of the stay 3 will rotate along the slit 8. Since it can rise, if the left and right supports 1 are brought into contact with each other, the ladder will be housed in the space formed by both supports, and the ladder will have a rectangular bar-like appearance as shown in FIG. 2.

This application is made entirely of aluminum alloy, and except for the stays, it is all shaped, and has a structure that is lightweight, has good precision, is weather resistant, and has excellent mass productivity. In addition, stay 3
Also, if an aluminum alloy plate is made into a shape similar to the ground plan as in the embodiment, it is easy to manufacture by punching, and in combination with the sliding guide 7, it is effective in preventing rolling.

When in use, the steps 2 of each stage are all connected by the connecting rod 4 via the connecting metal fittings 6, so the load at one location is borne by the six steps, and the addition of the stay 3 provides stability. This improves stability and prevents rolling. When not in use, all the components are placed in the space formed by the left and right supports 1, 1, in order of the connecting fittings 6, the stays 3, and the steps 2 on the outside of the connecting rod 4. It is retractable and has the shape of a single rectangular column, and the above-mentioned effects can be achieved only by the configuration of the present application.
