ついて詳述する。
In the past, various folding ladders have been developed that are convenient for transportation and storage, and although there are ladders resembling stick-shaped ladders, none exist that are completely square and have no externally exposed parts. The applicant proposed a portable ladder that can be carried around by one person, is light enough to be inserted into a corner of a truck, etc., is strong enough, and all the constituent materials are built into a single rectangular prism, with no markings on the surface of the prism. It is convenient for transportation and storage because it has no obstructions, and since the parts are built into a simple square column, it will not be damaged by external force during transportation, and it will not be damaged if it is caught by someone else. To provide a completely safe columnar ladder without any externally exposed protrusions that would give the same protection. Examples will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a front view when in use, FIG. 2 A is a front view when not in use, and B is a side view. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a pair of left and right support columns, each of which has a U-shaped cross section, with openings facing each other. The example is an aluminum alloy extrusion profile. In Fig. 1, reference numeral 2 is a step whose cross section is approximately similar to that of the support column and has slightly smaller dimensions. The end is pivotally connected to a connecting rod 4 via a connecting fitting to be described later. The figure shows an example with a total height of 1950 mm and 6 steps. 3 is a stay that has a U-shaped cross section and has a similar shape that is slightly smaller than step 2, one end of which is pivotally attached to the pillar with the same rivet 5 as above, and the other end of which is attached to the bottom step. At the lower end of the connecting fitting 6 that connects the connecting fittings 6, the connecting rod 4 is slightly smaller than the connecting fitting 6 of each stage.
It is rotatably pivoted to a connecting fitting 6' which is slidable relative to the connecting member 6'. Reference numeral 4 designates a connecting rod, which is a vertical rod with a circular cross section, and one end of each step 2 is pivotally connected via a connecting fitting at equal intervals above and below. The above-mentioned step 2, stay 3, and connecting rod are made of aluminum alloy like the support column 1.

FIG. 3A is a plan view of the connecting fitting 6 made of an aluminum alloy extrusion or casting, and FIG. 3B is a front view, and both A and B are enlarged views of the actual product. Its shape is a thick rectangular plate, and its left and right ends form semicircular arcs. That is, each longitudinal section from the front to the back has a uniform horizontally elongated elliptical shape. In the figure, 6a is a through hole of the connecting rod 4, which is opened at the center of its surface. 6b is a small hole for fixing the connecting fitting 6 and the connecting rod 4 with a fixing pin. 6c is a notch for escape of the pin head which fixed the connecting fitting and the connecting rod.As a result, the pin head is not exposed on the surface of the connecting fitting, so that the step 2 can be rotated freely. Reference numeral 6d designates a through hole for rotatably attaching one end of the step 2 described above with a tubular rivet. In this example, since there are six steps, six connecting fittings 6 are required, but the front (cross-sectional) shape of the connecting fitting 6' for the lower stay 3 is completely different from that shown in this figure. Same, but second
As shown in the figure, it is necessary to reduce the depth (plan view) a little as a storage requirement. At the same time, in order to facilitate sliding, it is preferable to make the through hole of the connecting rod large so that there is some play.

Next, the steps, stays, and connecting rods made of aluminum alloy will be described in detail. Figure 4 shows the step, A is a front view, B is a side view taken along arrow A-A,
C is a partial plan view. In the figure, 2a is a contact surface for the left and right steps to come into close contact with each other when in use, and 2b is a relief to allow the abutment surfaces to completely contact each other, which is necessary when folding when not in use. 2c is a relief of the connecting rod 4. The holes 2d on the left and right are holes for rivets for pivoting the step to the support column 1 and the connecting fitting 6. In addition, the notch 2E at the top left end in the figure
is the relief for rotation of the step. The right step in the figure is completely symmetrical and identical to the present figure. FIG. 5 is a front view of the stay, and the left and right sides are completely symmetrical. It is pivotally connected to a connecting fitting 6' for the attached stay 3. 3b is a through hole for pivoting, and 3a is an abutting surface for the left and right stays. In the embodiment, reinforcing means is provided on the bottom surface of the bottom step, but it may be provided on the bottom surface of the top step or any step.Although it is not an essential requirement of the present invention, it is possible to further improve the strength by providing it. I can do it. In FIG. 6, a connecting rod 4 is made of an aluminum alloy round rod and is fixed to the connecting fitting 6 with fixing pins at the through holes 6a of the connecting fitting 6, which have holes 4a formed at equal intervals. It is fixed to the connecting fitting with a fixing pin.

Using the extremely simple basic cross-sections described in detail above, one end of the stays and steps, which have approximately similar shapes and different dimensions, is rotatably pivoted to the connecting fitting 6 (the example is an aluminum alloy die-cast product). death,
Fig. 1 shows the completed assembly with the other end pivotally attached to the support. If the lower ends of the support and connecting rod are on the same horizontal plane as in the example, the connecting rod supports the connecting fittings of each stage, which is effective in holding the left and right steps horizontally, but the lower end of the connecting rod must be grounded. It is not limited to that. The connecting rod is supported from the left and right by steps at multiple locations on the top and bottom, six locations shown in the figure, so it can withstand loads without buckling.
When using the other side, the left and right steps are in contact with each other on the contact surface 2a.
Even when a load is applied to a specific step by abutting on the connecting rod 4, it has the effect of bearing the load on all steps through the connecting rod 4, and the connecting rod 4 and each step work together to increase the load capacity. Improved performance. The applicant has made the U-shaped cross-sectional dimensions of the support column 40 mm, 25 mm, and 2 mm thick, and the steps are also 30 mm, 20 mm, and 2 mm thick.
The stay is 20 mm, 15 m, and 2 mm thick, and the connecting rod diameter is 8.
When a six-step ladder with a diameter of 1.5 mm is made of aluminum alloy, it is lightweight with a total weight of 4 kg and has sufficient strength to withstand work by two adults. I learned that depending on the usage environment, it is possible to reduce the wall thickness or size. For storage, by moving the connecting rod in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1, each part of the above-mentioned size and shape is completely housed in the opposing supports, forming a square prism as shown in FIG. In this case, the external dimensions of the elliptical connecting fitting 6 (front view) were 33.2 mm x 14 mm, and in the plan view they were 33.2 mm x 33 mm.
