[Detailed Description of the Invention] Conventional products called step stools have a fixed table-like shape, and some are known to be able to use the space occupied by the step stools to serve as a storage space. However, the height of these stepping stools was all low, so they were of no use in slightly higher places. The present invention relates to a foldable step stool which is higher than conventional step stools, can be used indoors as well as outdoors, is folded and stored when not in use, and is used as a step stool when necessary.
Embodiments will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is an overall perspective view of a step stool according to the present invention. For convenience of explanation, the front leg side is referred to as the front, the rear leg side is referred to as the back, and the side of the joint that adjusts the opening of both legs is referred to as the side. The step stool is made up of a ladder-type front leg 1 and a back leg 2, and although both legs are the same length in the embodiment, only one leg may be made longer depending on the purpose. First, to explain the front legs, on the left and right sides of the figure, columns 3 made of aluminum alloy sections and having a U-shaped cross section are erected with concave grooves facing each other, and between the two columns 1 are columns that are almost similar to the columns. There is a pair of left and right steps 4 each having a cross section that is one size smaller in shape, and one end of which is connected to the support 1.
The pair of steps 4 are connected by being inscribed in the step 4 and being pivotally supported by a semi-tubular rivet 5, and the other end being rotatably supported by a connecting fitting 6, which will be described later. FIG. 7 is an enlarged view of the left step 4, with A being a front view and B being a plan view of the right end. 4a in the diagram
are the abutting surfaces of the left and right steps, and when in use, the abutting surfaces come into close contact with each other and can withstand the load in the gravitational direction alone. 4b is a relief when folded, 4c is a relief for the connecting rod 7, and 4d is a shaft hole. FIG. 8 is an enlarged view of the connecting fitting 6, in which A is a plan view and B is a front view. In the figure, 6a is a through hole for the connecting rod 7 to pass through, and 6b is a riveted hole for fixing the connecting rod 7 and the connecting fitting 6 that have passed through it.Therefore, after assembly, the connecting rod 7 and the connecting fitting 6 are When completely integrated and the connecting rod is placed upright, the connecting fittings are horizontal. 6c is a relief for the rivet head, and 6d is a shaft hole for rotatably supporting the end of the step 4 described above. As described above, in the embodiment, three steps 4 are connected via connecting fittings 6, and the connecting rods penetrate through the center of the connecting fittings and are fixed to each connecting fitting. Furthermore, a pair of left and right stays 8 are provided near the lower end of the stabilizing support column 3, one end of which is pivotally connected, and the other end of which is pivotally connected to a slightly smaller connecting fitting 6. The structure of the back leg 2 is exactly the same as the front leg. The left and right columns 3 of the back leg 2 are connected to the other end of the upper end joint 9 as shown in the perspective view of FIG. The upper end of the shaft is rotatably supported as shown in FIG. The shape of the side plate 9a of the upper end joint 9 is trapezoidal, and bent pieces 9b are integrally extended from both ends of the side plate 9a, and the support of the front leg is riveted to both the bent piece 9b and the side face, and The upper end of the column is rotatably supported by a shaft 9c on a side plate 9a. FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the upper end of the side surface of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the folded state, FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the folded state, and FIG. 5 is a side view thereof. The step stool of the present invention having the configuration as explained above has both legs 1 and 2 when used as shown in Fig. 1.
In order to limit the opening of the
By pivoting one end to the front leg and locking the other end to the back leg, it can be used as a step stool, and the height can be adjusted to suit the purpose by increasing or decreasing the number of steps in step 4. If the hand 10 is released and both legs are closed as shown in FIG. 3, and the connecting rod 7 is lifted up by hand, it becomes a rectangular bar shape as shown in FIG. 4, and can be easily stored without being bulky. FIG. 5 is a side view when folded.

As mentioned above, the present application is made of all aluminum alloy shapes, each member is extremely simple, and the combination is organically rational, has good mass productivity, and has good accuracy because it is made only of shapes. Compared to the conventional method, the load-bearing performance in the embodiment is approximately three times greater, and it is lightweight and easy to carry, making it outstanding for this type of step stool that is mainly used indoors, and can only be achieved by the configuration of the present invention. It has the following effects.
If further stability is required, a stay 8 may be added as in the embodiment.
