Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a worker from receiving an electric shock by disconnecting a power source system from an electric power system and a load, when both active and reactive currents of said electric power system are zero.
CONSTITUTION: The active component iCP and reactive component iCQ of electric current iC of a commercial electric system 5 are detected from an active current sensor 16 and a reactive current sensor 17, respectively. While said active current iCP is zero, a signal is sent by a reactive current controller 23 to a zero current sensor 18, which adds a given value ▵iQ to an actual reactive current command value iQ to obtain a reactive current command value. By said control, the reactive current corresponding to ▵iQ flows to said system 5. A zero current sensor 18' sends a signal to an AND logical circuit 19, while the reactive current is zero. When both active and reactive currents of the system 5 become zero, said zero current sensors 18, 18' send a signal at the same time so that the AND logical circuit 19 is energized. A timing device 20 cuts off a breaker 21 so that a power system is opened, when the AND logical circuit 19 has been energized more than a given period.
