As is well known, a hipped roof has a triangular top with a small cross section that protrudes from the ridge of the hipped roof along the ridge direction, and of course there is a rain protection structure for the outside world and an internal attic. It is necessary to ensure a ventilation structure. At this time, the ventilation structure is provided with ventilation louvers and surface lattices at the arrow ends of the triangular top in the direction of the ridge, but these require less construction time and work than the ventilation louvers and surface lattices. The presence of such ventilation louvers and side lattices is likely to cause problems with rainwater intrusion and impair the rain protection function at the arrow-cutting part. There is also a tendency to dislike it.

This structure is the triangular part (arrow cutting part) of the gambrel roof.
The purpose of this design is to easily provide ventilation function by using the rain cover structure in the triangular part (arrow cut part), and also to improve the external design by preventing the ventilation structure from being exposed to the outside. The upper end of the main building joint that commonly connects the outer sides of the end parts of the main building installed in a row along the roof slope, and the side end of the roof sheathing board attached to the upper surface of the end part of the main building in a laterally protruding manner. A gable drain that covers the outer surface of the main building connection is provided, and a Kasagi drain that covers the side edge of the roof sheathing board and covers the outside of the gable drain is provided, and the space between the gable drain and the Kasagi drain is provided. A ventilation gap that communicates with the ventilation gap is formed by the gap along the direction of the Kasagi water stamp,
In order to communicate the ventilation gap with the outside world, a ventilation hole is provided at the bottom of the Kasagi drainer.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the illustrated embodiment. FIG. 1 shows the appearance of a gambrel roof, in which a triangular part 3 with a small cross section protrudes from the top of the gambrel roof 1 along a ridge 2. Both ends of the triangular portion 3 in the ridge direction are formed as arrow-cut portions by arrow-cutting plates 4, and conventionally, these arrow-cutting plates 4 have been manipulated to install ventilation louvers or place lattices. The attic is ventilated through the attic, but this makes it easy for rainwater to enter the attic, as well as ventilating the inside and outside through the louvers and lattices, which often causes rainwater to leak into the attic. Furthermore, from the perspective of Western-style gambrel design, the presence of louvers and lattices on the four sections of the arrow board is not welcomed as a remnant of Japanese-style design.

The present invention provides a gambrel roof 1 having such a triangular portion 3.
In the arrow cutting portion by the arrow cutting plate 4,
Utilizing the conventional rain protection structure that is naturally installed in this area, we have provided it with a ventilation function that allows ventilation between the inside and outside.
Moreover, it is designed so as not to impair the rain protection function. Figure 2 shows an enlarged side sectional view of section A in Figure 1, and Figure 3 shows a partially exploded slope view of the main part. However, as illustrated in both figures, both ends of each main building 5 (in the drawings, only one end is ) are cut to the same plane as the end portions 5a, and each of these end portions 5a
When connecting the common purlin joint 6 over the outer surface of the main building 5, the upper end surface 6a of the purlin joint 6 and the side end portions of the roof sheathing boards 7 at both ends laid on the upper surfaces of both ends 5a of the main building 5 are connected. 7a, a ventilation gap 8 communicating with the attic space B is formed as shown in the second figure.
As is known, on the outer surface of this main building connection 6, a gable gable 9 is installed to cover the space between the outer surface and the upper part of the arrow cutting board 10 that forms the arrow cutting part, so as to block the inside and outside. At this time, the upper end 9a of the gable gutter 9 is on the same level as the upper end surface 6a of the purlin joint 6 so as not to impede ventilation in the gap 8, and the lower end 9b of the gable gable 9 is placed on the outer surface of the arrow board 10. By staying in close contact with the area, the rain can be shut down inside and outside.
In the present invention, a Kasagi drainer 11 is further used as a rain cover on the outer surface of the roof sheathing board 7, and extends parallel to the gable drainer 9 and covers its outside. The ventilation gap 8 and the key are installed on the end 7a in a covering manner over the roof plate 13 of the triangular part 2 via the base wood 12, and between the main surface 11b parallel to the gable flashing 9 and the Kasagi flashing 9. A ventilation gap 14 that communicates in a hand shape is formed, and the locking end 11c of the Kasagi drainer 11 is shaped like a gutter, and its locking end 11c is the lower end 9 of the gable drainer 9.
In the recessed stepped portion 11d that engages with the drain hole 11d, ventilation holes 15 that open vertically and communicate with the outside world are arranged in a row along the length of the drainer 11 as shown in the third figure. Of course, this ventilation hole 15 may be a series of ventilation holes. In addition, in Fig. 2, 16 is the arrow cutting base wood, 17 is the arrow cutting, 18 is the arrow cutting, and 19 is the arrow cutting.
indicates a gambrel roof, and these belong to known structures.

According to the present invention, as shown by the arrow in FIG. The ventilation function will be fully demonstrated by dissipating hot air to the outside and bringing in fresh outside air. At this time, the ventilation hole 15 that communicates with the outside world is formed in the recessed step 11d that is recessed inside the Kasagi drainer 11 as shown in the figure, so rainwater, intrusion, and blowing from the outside are completely prevented. This is because
By installing the drain 11 and the gable drain 9 together, the drain sealing performance against rainwater of the arrow cut section is not impaired in any way, and both the functions of rain protection and ventilation in the triangular section 3 are completely ensured. become. As a result, the time, materials, and construction man-hours required for installing conventional ventilation louvers and grids at the arrow cutting parts are completely eliminated.
The construction time for the entire hip-gable roof will also be significantly shortened. In addition, the fact that there are no ventilation louvers or arrow-cut boards 4 on the side lattices makes the appearance simple and clear as a Western-style hip-gable design, eliminating the traditional Japanese style, and meeting the recent demands for Western-style hip-gable buildings. The roof appearance can be fully satisfied.
Moreover, the necessary structure is the main building 5 and the main building connection 6.
It is sufficient to set the installation position of the gable drain 9, and to form the ventilation hole 15 for the Kasagi drain 11, and there is no need for any particularly complicated work or addition of structure, and construction can be performed simply and easily. However, there is no particular impact on the cost, and the cost can be reduced by shortening the construction period. Although the present invention has been described as an embodiment for a gambrel roof, it goes without saying that the present invention can also be applied to gables and fascias on general roofs.
