Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily smooth out the creases of cloth by setting a crease smoothing bar having protuberences on the upper face under a piece of cloth, holding it at one side thereof, and having the crease smoothing bar movalble relatively with respect to a cloth keeper which presses the cloth on the crease smoothing bar. CONSTITUTION:A piece of cloth 16 is spread on a manufacturing table 1 and held at one side by a cloth keeper 2, and a crease smoothing bar 9 is placed under the cloth 16. Then the smoothing bar 9 is moved apart from the cloth keeper 2 in the direction of an arrow A so that the cloth 16 is subjected to the force in the direction of an arrow B by the protuberences 9a formed on said crease smoothing bar 9, that is, the cloth 16 is tensed widthwise from the center thereof to the opposed sides to smooth out the creases of the cloth 16. The smoothed part of the cloth 16 remains on the manufacturing table 1 on the lower side of the crease smoothing bar 9.
