Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the chip insertion cycle by driving a drum on which a carrier tape in wound, under such control that the turning speed of the drum is reduced every time a chip part is inserted in the carrier tape so that the drum is synchronized with a pusher. CONSTITUTION:By dint of the straight action of a cam 3 converted from the rotary action of a servo motor 7, a pusher 2 pushes a chip part 1 into each recess 6a of a carrier tape 6 guide by a drum 4. The drum 4 has the aligning pins 5 thereon aligning the carrier tape 6 to turn said tape 6. Based on the reference indicative value of a speed changing control variable setter 15, a multiple speed changing control circuit 14 sends a speed changing pulse signal to a synchronizing circuit 16, which adds a compensatory value to both a constant-speed pulse signal and a speed changing pulse signal on the basis of the compensatory value of an encoder signal compensator 17 to ensure the synchronous operations of the servo motors 7 and 9. Then according to the indication from a speed changing pulse load controller 20, the speed of the drum 5 driven by the motor 9 changes to an appropriate low, middle or high speed so that the pusher 2 reaches its front position when the drum 5 turns at a low speed.
