Abstract
PURPOSE:To promptly detect the standstill situation of a refuse container in a conveyance pipe used for air transportation of the refuse container in a multiple dwelling house or the like by providing on the inside wall of the conveyance pipe plural received portions projecting toward the radius direction with a specified space left between the recessed portions for the purpose to detect the standstill situation of the refuse container by means of detecting the pulse-like acoustic variation generated when the container passes by the recessed portion. CONSTITUTION:When a refuse container 2 is conveyed in the arrow direction in a conveyance pipe 5 by air flow, an air flow noise is generated as air pass through the gap between the refuse container 2 and the conveyance pipe 5. This air flow noise is almost constant while the container 2 is moving along where there is no recess 10 but, when it passes through the recess 10, a sudden air flow is generated instantaneously causing a pulse-like sound pressure to generate. So if this sound is detected with a microphone 12, a pulse-like noise generating each time the container 2 passes the recess 10 is noted. The stand-still situation of the container 2 is judged by distinguishing among the recesses 10 as to which recess 10 the container 2 has not passed by means of detecting the variations of the level of the pulse noise. Consequently, a prompt attention of the situation can be paid.
