PURPOSE:To elevate the reliability of a sector mark detecting device through simple circuit constitution by deciding that a sector mark is inputted, when all the outputs of a matching circuit exceed simultaneously the threshold of a threshold circuit. CONSTITUTION:A signal train 11 that plural sector marks with different patterns are converted by a regeneration circuit is inputted to a shift register 1. Besides, a clock 12 capable of detecting the pattern of the signal train 11 is inputted and the signal train is sampled, and a first signal is shifted to the shift register rn. This signal is forwarded in turn, and it comes to a state that n-pieces of the signals are shifted in the register r1-rn.
