Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a rubber molding from contaminating can electrical insulating oil when it is contact with the oil in actual use, by heat-treating the rubber molding before actual use in an electrical insulating oil which is the same as that to be actually used.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber molding to be used in contact with an electrical insulating oil is placed in an insulating oil which is the same as that to be actually used and heat-treated to dissolve contaminants contained in the rubber molding in the insulation oil used. The treated rubber molding is applied to uses where it is in contact with an electrical insulating oil. In this way, it is passible to prevent contaminants contained in the rubber molding from dissolving in the insulating oil, contaminating it and degrading its characteristics. Therefore, it is possible to use a molding obtained from an inexpensive nitrile rubber as said rubber molding.
